Oh hey.. a Blog feature. June 15th, 2007

Hokay… This weekend (6-16, 6-17) B33J and I will be in Alabama and Atlanta. Unfortunately, that means no gaming, D&D OR WoW. :( This sucks, because i have finally hit upon the plot for at least the next NewGen Campaign adventure. Yes, our intrepid heroes will be going to rally the Orcish tribes South of Terra… but will they find there? How will they convince the Orcs to fight their cousins from the Bestial East? And once THAT task is done, the heroes are going to attempt to recruit the blood-thirsty Red Wing skypirates to also help the invading Inhuman army.

I’ve been back playing WoW in the evenings. I really enjoyed my Blood Elf Warlock, so i made Moloth as a male human Warlock on Shadow Council, an older RP server. Man, I already have over 50 gold… the economy on that server has been inflated to ridiculous amounts. Luckily, Warlocks aren’t extremely gear-dependent and i’m quickly gaining levels. Mmm… level 20 is a delicious level.

Some old and new projects have reared their heads recently. My Nephilim storyline is being discussed again and i have been doing a little Voice-Over work for a guy for a YouTube skit he’s putting together.

I’ve taken up jogging every evening around the apartment complex. Annoyingly, my calves ache like all hell about 3/4 of the way around now. Every time i go, they seem to get a bit stronger, so, hopefully, they’ll catch up to the rest of me soon. Still hitting the free weights, hitting the gym, doing crunches and trying to watch what i eat. Protein bar/banana for breakfast, large lunch, small, healthy dinner.

I’ve recently finished the first three books of the Dresden Files.. took a book or two for me to warm up to them, but now… David, gimme MAOR! Next on the list is “Haunted” by Chuck Palahuinik.

Also, YES is still the best band ever:

Yes - The Gates Of Delirium Lyrics

(Anderson, Howe, Moraz, Squire and White)
Stand and fight we do consider
Reminded of an inner pact between us
That’s seen as we go
And ride there
In motion
To fields in debts of honor
Defending

Stand the marchers soaring talons,
Peaceful lives will not deliver freedom,
Fighting we know,
Destroy oppression
The point to reaction
As leaders look to you
Attacking

Choose and renounce throwing chains to the floor.
Kill or be killing faster sins correct the flow.
Casting giant shadows off vast penetrating force
To alter via the war that seen
As friction spans the spirits wrath ascending to redeem.

Wars that shout in screams of anguish,
Power spent passion bespoils our soul receiver,
Surely we know.
In glory
We rise to offer,
Create our freedom,
A word we utter,
A word.

Words cause our banner, victorious our day.
Will silence be promised as violence display?
The curse increased we fight the pow’r
And live by it by day.
Our gods awake in thunderous roars,
And guide the leaders hand in paths of glory to the cause.

Listen, should we fight forever
Knowing as we do know fear destroys?
Listen, should we leave our children?
Listen, our lives stare in silence;
Help us now.

Listen, your friends have been broken,
They tell us of your poison; now we know.
Kill them, give them as they give us.
Slay them, burn their children’s laughter
On to hell.

The fist will run, grasp metal to gun.
The spirit sings in crashing tones,
We gain the battle drum.
Our cries will shrill, the air will moan and crash into the dawn.
The pen won’t stay the demon’s wings,
The hour approaches pounding out the Devil’s sermon.

Soon, oh soon the light,
Pass within and soothe this endless night
And wait here for you,
Our reason to be here.

Soon, oh soon the time,
All we move to gain will reach and calm;
Our heart is open,
Our reason to be here.

Long ago, set into rhyme.
Soon, oh soon the light,
Ours to shape for all time,
Ours the right;
The sun will lead us,
Our reason to be here.

Soon, oh soon the light,
Ours to shape for all time,
Ours the right;
The sun will lead us,
Our reason to be here.
