Star Wars Galaxies
I've been playing the demo for Star Wars Galaxies, and I'm unsure as to whether or not I want to continue with it. It's pretty cool to have a Jedi character that I can upgrade and what not, but I haven't decided if it's worth the monthly subscription or not.
Thoughts? Free servers?

Just buy Knight of the Old Republic, its afar superior game in most peoples opinion. Not an MMO, but still a great great game.

I tried Galaxies until level 20 or so.. and it was overwhelmingly "Meh".
I would NOT recommend paying for it. as far as private servers, i have no clue.
Just apply some Google-fu... HEEE YA!

I would second KOTOR. I enjoyed part I so much that I bought part II when it came out. It was just as good, but better graphics and more depth. They were on Xbox, but I am sure we will see something similar on 360 and/or PS3 within the next 6 months to a year. Battlefront III is on its way. And I can't WAIT!!! I beat I and II through a few times and still found it fun. They really did a great job with those. I don't find much replay value in games anymore, unless you are running around trying to sniper things.

Um...a definitive NO! don't do it!
If you want to spend money monthly on a game...do it somewhere else..but don't let those greedy bastards at SOE have your money, especially when they make crap for games nowadays....
But that' sjust my opinion anyways.

Thanks for the input all.
I like the idea of having a customizable character, but the action is kinda slow. It seems like I'm spending a good chunk of my time just going from here to there and back again.

the space-ship fights are kinda cool and just being IN the Star Wars universe is cool, too... but the game is just kinda... boring and it feels 'disconnected', somehow. like my character is cut off from the world. not very immersive.
