Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

"probably not"... there aren't a whole lot of Defiled running around on Terramain.

Depending on what you guys do, there is always the chance that you might go back to your home city (that is currently unnamed >_<  ).

You could always name it after Collin's workplace.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

Actually, i'm considering this line of etymology:

Dahrkonnis/Drah'konis/Dahrkhonnis was the original name of the city 700 years ago when the original Aragonians monks arriv and built it.

Since then, the corruption of the Aragonian language has shortened it to Da'Kae.

OR

"D'Kae" or "De'fyll" is the name of the Noble house that helped found the city and the name has stuck since.

I have a number of ideas, obviously, but i haven't decided on a final name yet.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

half-elves are not a race unto themselves. they are from the single union of an Elven parent and a Human parent.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

right.  they don't have their own lands, culture, or society.  They're not a Race unto themselves.  I'd wager, however, that there are more half-elves in the world than Dwarves.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

Seriously, though. The D&D Players Handbook is a generic guide to D&D.  My Campaign Setting differs from the plain, standard and generic world that the PHB describes by a few,but important ways.

And that's exactly where I was going until you poo-pooed me.  YOU can create ANYTHING.

Sounds to me it's the same as if someone was half Japanese. Or half Vulcan, like Spock.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

In some Campaign worlds, Half-Orcs and sometimes Half-Elves ARE a Race unto themselves... just not mine.

They're much rarer in NewGen.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

Ah!  So I'm RARE!  Or are you using reverse psychology on me to get me to shut up?

Typical woman, I know  I know.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

"If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air"

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

Will we eventually get to a point where this lil band of adventurers establishes a "base" or HQ or some kind?
The reason I ask is becuase of my (currently undevelpoed) ability to create a Necro Tech Lab.  I would like to explore that within the next few adventures.

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

Hmm... yes, actually i DO see you guys finding a 'base' but it will be at least 3 adventures down the road.

Never fear, Lux has some things to deal with coming up.  smile

Re: NewGen Campaign Questions

"Never fear" huh........sorry, that statement didn't really help at all.

In all of your scheming and plot creations for ANG, do you see any of the charachters having to develop any kind of abilities/skills that are outside of our normal class abilities?
