Re: Google Web Browser "Chrome"

wow. excellent, excellent stuff.

there's a reason why Google is so huge: they ARE damn good at what they do and ARE very innovative.

They're microsoft 20-25 years ago.

also... they actually got Scott McCloud to do the comic. thats awesome.

Re: Google Web Browser "Chrome"

Awesome find.  Thanks for the info.  If they get a Mac version, let me know so I can try it out.  So this would be better than Safari and Firefox?

Seriously, WTF...

Re: Google Web Browser "Chrome"

Their ideas on improved security seem to have merit.

Does it record your browsing for "improved" performance? Does it report back to google with your browsing habits?

Re: Google Web Browser "Chrome"

I am not a fan of "tab" browsing.  I prefer opening multiple windows if I want to look at different stuff, but I guess I am just behind on the times or something.

Chromium is an open source project, so if it were spyware someone would have discovered it by now.

It doesn't like Vista even though it's touted as Vista compliant.

Re: Google Web Browser "Chrome"

Tried it at work today. I like it, except for the most visited squares. The last thing I want at work is for the boss to see that i visit manateesex.com more than our own company web page.

True, but doesnt that page pop up whenever you open a new tab? Or does the new tab open to your homepage?

Re: Google Web Browser "Chrome"

Oh and the fix for Vista users was:
Right click on the google chrome app in your Start \All Programs menu. Go to Properties.  Add to the end of the target:
<space>--no-sandbox
