Okay.....as gesture.....an attempt to make SOME concessions...i did research on ron howard to see what else about him I don't like.....I guess really, the only movie that I could say I enjoyed him directing would be backdraft....apollo 13 was okay but I think tom hanks can go die in a fire too.... okay I lied. I really fucking loved willow.  I mean fucking loved it....  every other movie he's directed that I've seen, are so formulatic I just snooze...oh yay, ron howard directed a movie, let me guess how it goes and boom, i've got his steps down....*boring*

and what he did to da vinci code was take the major action events in the story and weave them together in his basic one plus one equals two easy peezy formula.  He took away the feminine and masculine coexistence that was the core of the book...the entire concept of the it all, even the little details mimicked the yin and yang thing and he took it, fondled it, molested and then rammed his dick in it and made it into some hollywood blockbuster that everyone could understand and enjoy without thinking (whereas if howard didn't change things like sophie meeting her brother and grandmother in the end, it would have made more sense about the whole, woman is part of man and man is part of woman and they have to coexist/worktogether/not separate in order to be whole and closer to god)...cuz dealing in abstracts is hard for ron howard.....so him doing cthulu is gonna be ...just horrendous...... ron howard takes abstract thoughts and turns them into squares and circles and says that's what it is...squares and circles...CTHULU IS NOT A FUCKING SQUARE. Ron howard can stay in his fucking box cuz if i catch him outside of it, i will ram my dick so far in his ear so he will know what the hell he fucking did to that book....  (and I don't care about the whole, oh it's hard to make a book into a movie, dan brown made it so easy to be turned into movie...he didn't have to change shit but he did anyways, he could have shorten it, removed some details but he changed too much that it was just stupid....stupid)

perhaps I'm being overdramatic. He's good...he's got enough reason to be liked...but I wouldn't consider him great....he's good with stories that are linear but for him to think outside the box would hurt his shiny little head... but if he couldn't handle the duality theme of da vinci code, how's he gonna handle the mindfuck that is lovecraft...it's just gonna be like a dracula/werewolf movie of old....big scary monsters and heros that save the day.......

in fairness, Dan Brown (da Vinci code) is a fairly awful writer...

He directed Willow??  I triple love that movie...may dust off my VHS and watch it tonight!
