"This game has a metacritic score of an 84 with the worst score nowhere near the levels of this review. I guess that's why I never read the AV Club video game reviews, huh?" )

The End seriously does suck. Why do people still think the 'It was all a dream' approach is a good idea?
Where are you getting the "it was all a dream" approach? There was none of that.
It was a joke. I wanted it to seem like I ruined the ending for Collin

The AV Club hates everything because they are way hipper than us mere mortals.

yeah, they totally suffer from the 'hipper-than-thou' and 'everything-suck-because-im-so-awesome' mentality.
some of their interviews are good, though. and, Dan Savage!

Borderlands DLC coming soon.
THE ZOMBIE ISLAND OF DR. NED
The first downloadable content for Borderlands will be available for
download for Xbox 360 and PS3 starting November 24th for $9.99 or 800
MS Points. You'll be fighting brain-eating zombies, carnivorous
Were-Skags and more as you continue your quest for the latest and
greatest loot.
PC users will be able to play the content a week later, for free. Or so I hear.

Sweetness! Were-skags!

we weren't powerleveling you. you were providing a very helpful service in absorbing all the bullets that the enemies fired at you instead of me. And you gave me a reason to keep Cauterize in my build

"The first bit of DLC for Gearbox Software’s latest title will be releasing on November 24 via PSN and XBL. The content, which is titled “The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned”, will cost $9.99 (800 MS Points) and has not received a release date on the PC as of yet."
I just hope we don't end up getting treated like 2nd class citizens and not given the DLC in a timely manner, if at all. GearBox doesn't like Steam and Valve anyway, so I could see them taking the piss.

I'd be interested in the Destroyer. If Scott doesn't want the Raven I'd try that out too. I'll show you the Volcano's I'm not using atm to see if any are an upgrade on your current one

Here's a fairly comprehensive config modding tool. Useful stuff like disabling mouse smoothing, enabling VSync, or *grin* giving you a 3rd person/1st person toggle key

Hit 50 the other day. Only got three achievements left to do, but I think one of them is bugged.

only 3? jeez. O_o
some of them are crazy... "kill 100,000 things!". really??
my second character, a Siren, is 22 as of the writing of this post.
im kinda playing her like a soldier; maxing out her gun stuff, but basically ignoring her Phasewalk ability.

No no, you're thinking of challenges. I'm talking about XBL achievements.

well, i played through "The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned" DLC... the landscape was pretty and Halloween-tastic, the zombies appropriate, though easily dealt with, and the story very short.
They seemed to put a TON of effort into the art and voice-acting, but not much in the way of content.
Also, i love those little claptrap robots even more now.

sweet! new (worthwhile) DLC on Thursday!

i think i'll be picking this up.
Offline

I picked it up yesterday, tried to play some with Ben on Second PLaythrough and it kicked our ass. Were gonna dial it back to first playthrough tonight I think.
Offline

I got the feeling that its designed for A) 4 player teams and B) People who have completed 3rd play through.
Ben and I dialed it back to first playthrough, but shit is way too easy, loot sucks, and we played for 4 hours and only gained half a level. -_-;
BALANCE PLEASE.

i also realized how rusty i was at the gun play... it actually takes effort to kill the baddies, tactics, even. i have to remember how to use 'nades, cover, a few headshots, special class power, melee attack, more cover while shields recharge, etc...

Shit yes! A talking Claptrap toy is coming!
