I recently watched all of this show with my mom and dad. It's not really what Id consider our typical genre of shows, but I ended up really enjoying it.
It's set in Botswana, and the basic gist of it is that when Precious Ramotswe's father dies, he leaves her a bunch of cows making her a wealthy woman. She decides to sell the cows and open a detective agency because she read a book about it once.
Its not a very deep show, or very long, but it has some very likable characters and is pretty funny. The show also does a masterful job at showing the country of Botswana as a beautiful and vibrant place full of culture and pride.
So, yeah, it's a nice little show that's worth Netflixing or whatever.

interesting.
i always think its such a shame that we always hear so much negative stuff about Africa. Yeah, it DOES have a lot of shitty stuff going on, but it hasn't always been that way. thousands of years of art, music, culture and natural beauty shouldn't be forgotten, nor should the current good stuff be ignored.

Its actually one of my favorite things about the show. It's the first time I think I've ever been convinced that Africa isnt a big shithole of poverty, crime, and genocide. The show has the balls to show people living honest, happy lives in place that isnt dominated by euro-american culture.
