Im not following you here. It wont let me read what her email address is cause its part of some dumb flash thing that wants to launch the Mac mail program. Which wants me to configure it first before it shows me anything.

Well that sounds pretty lame. If you enable POP access in Gmail, you can use it with a mail client. Here's a guide to setting up Mail with Gmail.
