Windows 7 is Senile!
Scott, here's a video showing the exact issue you have. There is currently no "non-third party software" workaround.

YES, EXACTLY! goddammit, WHY does Microsoft insist on REMOVING functionality from their operating systems?? I mean, in XP the picture viewer could show animated GIFs.. Vista? nope. 7? nope.
and now from Vista to 7, the damn thing doesn't even remember window position and size? the goddamn OS is CALLED 'Windows'!

To be fair, every version of windows has had weird things going on that didnt make a damn bit of logical sense. Like how Vista Home refuses to memorize network login passwords for osme reason.
Why should 7 be any different?
