Some screen shots came out. One of them reminds me of the movie Sahara

The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the CE will all include the following:
♠ Seven “Lucky 7” poker chips, each designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
♠ A fully customized Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. Use the cards to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for New Vegas.
♠ A recreation of the game’s highly coveted “Lucky 38” platinum chip.
♠ A hardcover graphic novel “All Roads” that tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas. “All Roads” was written by Chris Avellone, the game’s creative director, and created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.
♠ ‘The Making of Fallout: New Vegas’ DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content, including interviews with the developers in which they take you from concept to creation and discuss topics such as story, setting, legacy of the Fallout franchise and more.
The Collector’s Edition is listing for $79.99 on both the PS3 and 360 while PC owners will score the collectible goodness for $69.99. North Americans can pre-order at any participating retailer starting today and according to Bethesda European pre-orders will be available throughout Europe in the weeks to come.
This has me very tempted at the moment.... soo cool!

Well Alpha Protocol is getting shit reviews for its game play elements, but high marks on it's dialog interaction. Hopefully they haven't tweaked the combat system from Fallout 3

It occurs to me that it would be a sin for this game not to have a soundtrack soaked in Vegas lounge acts. IT MUST HAVE SINATRA.

Soundtrack is all Richard Cheese.

Q&A Out!
http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/t … interview/
Most important thing for most people seems to be how they plan on using Steam. I personally love it. While I'm sure there is some PC gamer out there that doesn't use Steam (why I have no idea) but when you compare this DRM to Ubisoft, or EA its a dream.
Fallout: New Vegas: Need Steam and internet connection for 1st install. Limitless Installs afterwords. Do not need to be connected to internet to play
Ubisoft: Need constant internet connection to play. If connection fails while playing you are bumped to your most recent auto save and can no play till your connection returns
EA's Spore: Limited Number of Installs

Pre-order is up on Steam, along with a sweet sell on Fallout 3, Oblivion and Morrowind.

I has it!
Toys R Us has a fantastic deal buy the game and you get a $10 Gift card AND the Strategy Guide for free.
So, yeah, they're basically giving you $35 to buy the game there. That is AWESOME.

I have it as well. For some reason the characters your see in the intro look really bad.... but in the rest of the game is beautiful.

Yeah, the wastelands look beautiful this time around.
Wait, does that mean they got it wrong? D:

Well I'm enjoying NV so far, there are issues I have it.
Namely how things don't seem to scale like they did in Fallout 3. Level 6 out in the Wastes I say a red marker on my compass, brought up VATS and pissed myself when I targeted a Deathclaw.
I don't mind a challenge, but throwing a Deathclaw out at low levels where I have no way in hell to take out its legs is annoying.

I'm up to level 9 now. Impressions:
Ammo is much harder to find than I remember it. I'm just now reaching the point where I feel like I have enough ammo. Speaking of which, converting one type of ammo into another at workbenches is confusing and off-putting.
I picked up two followers. One of which is incredibly lethal. Dude will one shot 3 enemies before I get one finished off. On one hand, that's really helpful, but on the other that means I don't collect the full EXP from his kills. I might switch to a non-combat focused companion one I get more badass.
I haven't found many good weapons yet, but the Cowboy Repeater is pretty great. Seven shots and good damage.
I miss gaining a perk every level like in Fallout 3, but I can see why they changed it. Cutting the perks you get in half results in a much more balanced, and clearly defined character. No more King of all Trades in Fallout.
Stimpacks are much harder to come by now. I find that I'm relying on food to refill my health in between battles so that I can save my stimpacks for repairing damaged limbs.
I'm liking the faction system more and more. It's going to make replaying the game much more appealing knowing that I'll have brand new quests opened up by siding with different factions.
Regarding the widespread reports of bugs and glitches? So far I haven't encountered any more glitches or game crashes than I did in Fallout 3. I've crashed maybe 3 or four times and the only glitch I've seen involved Fast Traveling to an area and noticing that all the radscorpions had spawned halfway inside the ground, killing them all instantly. Weird, but hey, free looting!
I'm playing with the Wild Wasteland trait on, which makes certain aspects of the game kookier. In the desert near the beginning of the game I found a blown up fridge with a skeleton in it wearing a fedora. Awesome.
I'm really digging the game so far and regret that time passes so quickly when I play it.

I love being able to blend in with different factions (even if that too is buggy and will fail for no reason)
And I find it profoundly sad that I can hack though a ton of people with a sword easily when I haven't trained melee at all, and using guns, which I'm well trained in takes tons of shots to down 1 guy.
