David Yost, the actor who played Bily the blue ranger in the first series, has allowed himself to be interviewed about his time on Power Rangers for pretty much the first time ever. In it, he finally reveals why he left the show, and it explains why he's been so distant from the franchise. It's actually very sad and makes me sick to think of him being treated that way for being gay. The story begins about 9 seconds in and just gets sadder, and sadder.

Following Linkara on Twitter and he seems oddly dodgey about the interview. While it isn't techinally his job to cover such things given his love of Power Rangers and support of the LGBT community I find his current dodgey-ness weird.

Side Note: Did not know we were calling it LGBTI now. Finally Transgenders are no longer the lowest on the totem pole!

Edit: it is getting out of hand. Now there's LGBTQIA. gay, genderqueer, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, questioning, queer, intersex, ally and asexual.

Gods, we don't need to break out every archetype. 'Others' will suffiice. *begins anti-uppity gays movement*

Ok, so they've revealed the Goukaiger's names.

GoukaiRed is Captain Marvelous, played by Ozawa Ryota.
GoukaiBlue is Joe Ginbuken, played by Yamada Yuuki.
GoukaiGreen is Don Dockoyai, played by Shimizu Kazuki.
GoukaiYellow is Luka Milfy, played by Ichimichi Mao.
GoukaiPink is Aimu Do Famiyu, played by Yui Koike.

I don't know what's better - Captain Marvelous or Luka Milfy.

Goukaiger will be premiering soon and it looks incredible. It's Super Sentai's 35th anniversary and they're going to celebrate it by having the Gokaiger's revisit EVERY sentai team by "island hopping" from universe to universe. What we know so far is that three of the Gokaigers are pirates, one is a kidnapped princess, and one is her bodyguard/friend. The Pirates are hunting for treasure, but there's also rumored plot synopses that other Sentai teams are outlawed too.

There are several options!
