Who wants to bet that this is the last time we hear the Gokaigers use the phrase "Final Wave"?

I've only caught a few episodes of it. It's... okay... kinda. The only really high points of the show for me are the return of Bulk and the nice new megaranger armors they made just for America.

Saban is going back to what worked in the beginning - a high camp show with bad acting. It doesn't really push any of my buttons, but it seems to be working on the kiddies. The show's ratings have been the best they've been in years and the toys seem to be selling at a steady pace.

Oddly, rather than write all new scripts, they appear to be doing a straight up direct translation of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. It's created a few weird moments that give you the feeling that some deeper meaning (heh) or explanation was lost in translation. On the podcast we call this effect "Adaptation Decay."

So, I did what I do best and what I did is make things pretty. My Rita makeover was well received enough that someone mailed me their figure for me to paint too! (Their pic is the more professional looking one)
