you are, in the grand scope of the universe, possibly one of the only sentient living things to ever exist or ever WILL exist. you are a self aware entity composed of the materials of the universe itself... your intricate composition of matter and energy gives you the emergent ability to appreciate, ponder and give meaning to the cosmos by way of that picture. A picture, by the way, of a SINGLE galaxy amidst a trillion, trillion more, in which you may be the one of the only living things to exist.
You are the universe trying to understand itself... sounds pretty fucking important to me.
