Global Warming scandal

http://www.examiner.com/x-28973-Essex-C … and-emails

Ok, I need someone with more insight and experience with science and research to tell me if this is legit or bunk. It seems to imply that scientists have been faking global warming tests, but I have a hard time buying that. Conspiracies that large hard to believe, plus, why would they fake results?

Re: Global Warming scandal

well, we still dont know if the e-mails are actually real or have not been tampered with.
Its easy to completely alter what someone is saying by just adding in a "not" or a "to hide the decline." A few words can destroy legitimacy.

As for why a scientist (or a group of scientists) to alter/fake results:
grant money, notoriety, paid to do so by a lobby (bribed), personal, political or social agenda... there are, unfortunately, just as many reason for a scientist to lie as for any other normal person to lie.

Do i think the entire concept of anthropogenic global warming (human-caused) is invalid now? even IF these e-mails are genuine? nope. Facts stand on their own despite the frialty of those speaking them. Even IF THIS group of scientists was falsifying data, that does not negate all of the other data out there.

Hot air balloons do not make the theory of gravity false.
