I watched the first half of Book of Eli last night and good lord is it ever Fallout 3 the movie. It's got Denzel (oooh Denzel!) Washington as badass wasteland wanderer carrying a book across the wastes 30 years after the apocalypse. Along the way, he fucks people up with a machete like a goddamn ninja. It's awesome.
But there's a caveat to this awesomeness, and it's a slight (although stupid easy to guess) spolier. Spoiler (highlight to view):
The book is a bible. The movie seems to really be about the bible restoring hope to these people.
So yeah, that type of storyline is irritating, but if you can overlook the overall message of the movie you've got yourself a badass Fallout movie.

Yea, I think most people were able to call what the book was when the trailer 1st ran.
It is good action, but the motivation is super stupid
