Check out Swype for your Android device (also works on some Windows Mobile and Blackberries I think). It's a new form of text entry, instead of tapping on each letter you tap on the first letter and then drag your finger across to all the other keys and let go on the last one.

It took me a day or two of getting used to, it seems so counterintuitive to typing. But once you're comfortable, it's almost freakish at how well it works. Even if I do a shitty job of tracing through all the letters it somehow gets it right.

To get it for Android, you have to register for the beta first. I'm not sure how long the beta will be open. Once you're registered, they'll email you the installer.

Not sure what the requirements are, if it needs 2.x or later.
