Oddly enough there IS a pedagogic movement.  Unfortunately, it can only be found within the new grant funded classes.  These critical thinking (yes, that's a "new" educator term) classes will be infused with technology that the kids love and thrive on.  These classes are throw away.  After the money is spent (and they have to spend every dime), there is no money left to update and upgrade the hardware/software/online class materials.  Also the idea is to have the hardware move up with the original kids and it will be theirs at graduation. So no other kids than the originals actually benefit.
