There's a Dune thread on the Allspark, and that made me remember this.

On the Extended Version of David Lynch's Dune, his name is replaced with Alan Smithee (a Holywood pseudonym). He was displeased with it and didn't want his name on it. Only when they replaced his name, they didn't change 'A' to 'An' so it says 'A Alan Smithee Film". It stuck out immediately to me.



And it's stuck in my brain, every time I hear the name 'Alan Smithee' I immediately think 'A Alan Smithee'. Sometimes it seems like you experience something and it sticks for some reason, impossible to un-associate. Dammit.
