Kind of an open question thread of "Why hasn't anyone made X?!" but for me
Why isn't there a Desktop Emulator to run Apps? There are a bunch of apps and games I'd love to have and play but don't have a smart phone and wish I could just run it on my PC.

The iOS SDK comes with an iPhone Simulator. And the Android SDK comes with an Android Emulator. Don't know how well they would work for running games though. Either way an iPod touch is pretty good if you don't want a smartphone/contract.
Speaking of, here's a question...why is there no Android equivalent of the iPod touch? Seems like it'd be easy to make and sell, especially to teens who can't get a contract for a smartphone, but still want to get online, play games, chat, etc. I think that's the majority of the iPod touch market anyways.
And here's something else I thought of earlier when I was playing with Tesla LED, a flashlight app. It can do morse code by pulsing the LED flash on the back of the phone over and over. You enter a string and it translates it to morse. Why couldn't there be another app that used the camera to pick up the morse code signal and decode it back to text? How awesome would that be to be several hundred feet away, using cell phones to communicate in morse code?

Comic seems relevant to discussion. I hope that it becomes easier to make apps for phones in the future. It would be cool to have an app for work that updates with funeral times and obits and stuff.
