Super 8
Overall, very well done movie. The story builds subtly and intelligently throughout until the end. Quite a few shots reminiscent of Speilberg's days.
But this was not an alien movie about aliens. It was a movie about people and relationships, with an alien in it. If you go in with that expectation, you won't be let down.
Wait to watch it on NetFlix if you wanted an awesome alien flick. Sadly, it was not an awesome alien flick.

Again, very well done movie, just thought it was going to be more about the alien than it really was. I expected more Cloverfield'esc time with the alien and fighting it, that kind of thing. Trying to help set expectations for everyone else to stifle off unintended disappointment.
