Howdy!

Uh, it could be just me but I figured I would say my first hello in the "Welcome Forum".  But maybe it only makes sense to me.  I am actually one of Moloth's friends.....I think.  He lets me come over on the weekend and play. big_smile  If you think I can say something smart, please keep walking.  I have only random moments of actual intelligence.  I just mostly listen.  I guess if you'd like to know anything else, you can just ask me and not Scott.  He doesn't know what he's talking about when it concerns me tongue

Re: Howdy!

I feel a little happier now that I know I can come here for some enlightenment.  I don't mind crying, I don't mind being sad.  If I know no lows, what basis would I have to say I am high?  um....i swear that's not a drug reference.  I think you understand what I'm saying...I'll rework that phrase later.  But for now it stays because as I type I get farther and farther away to backspace. And screw using a mouse! .......nevermind.

For reals. They're at CompUSA in Atlanta, or at least they were four years ago. That was the same weekend we set my bus on fire.

Re: Howdy!

Hello MizPhoenix!

I claim the phoenix as my personal symbol - one of eternal life and of perseverance. I have a page of phoenix avatars which you are more than welcome to use.

Link

You don't need no friends, get back your faith again, you have the power to believe
another dissident, take back your evidence, it has no power to deceive, I'll believe it when I see it for myself
I don't need no one to tell me about heaven I look at my daughter, and I believe.
I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth I can see the sunset and I perceive - "HEAVEN" LIVE

Re: Howdy!

lol...

well, i grew up in "Phenix City, AL" (yes, that IS the correct spelling of the city).  I've used the phoenix as a symbol in my writings for a long time (often interchanged with an albatross).  And i've recently become a phoenix myself.. lol.

The phoenix is a very powerful symbol that conveys a universal concept... life from death.

It has always intrigued me.. and many others, obviously. big_smile

Re: Howdy!

I am a member of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronisms) which is a medieval recreation group.  I have a 13th century Scottish persona named Lady Ceara inghean mhic Thearlaich. Originally from Clan MacTerlach, Ceara is married to Lord Ulf Bjarnarson (who is also my husband IRL) and in service to Baroness Katherine Radford of Dreywick. In the SCA I study Heraldry and Illumination which is the writing and painting of scrolls.

I have a registered Coat of Arms and Motto. I designed the COA myself. The motto translates as "Not All Of Me Will Die". The COA is blazoned as follows:
"Quarterly, Or and argent, a phoenix rising gules and a bordure sable"

My personal Coat of Arms and Motto:

You don't need no friends, get back your faith again, you have the power to believe
another dissident, take back your evidence, it has no power to deceive, I'll believe it when I see it for myself
I don't need no one to tell me about heaven I look at my daughter, and I believe.

Re: Howdy!

Wow, I'm impressed, that's really awesome!

I've always loved phoenixes since I was kid, due mostly to reading about them while I read about Greek and Roman mythology.  I always had a penchant for fire and burning stuff (tee hee) and I was amazed by the phoenix's ability for rebirth (though i have come to understand it that some stories, it is no the actual phoenix that is reborn but rather it is the method that they reproduce).  I'm quite a fiery personality, if Scott or B33J hadn't told ya, but I'm also warm and compassionate.  I also have a thing for birds because for awhile as a small child, my personal animal was an eagle. :-p

nice to learn stuff about ya!
